Adopt Me players were treated to a breathtaking surprise this past Friday with the launch of the Cherry Blossom Festival—a four-week spring event packed with new features, pets, and one of the most peaceful AFK systems we’ve seen yet.
I had planned to get this update out sooner, but life (and extreme weather) had other plans. Still, I didn’t want to skip covering what’s quickly become one of my all-time favourite Adopt Me events. So, if you’ve been wondering what all the petals are about on Adoption Island—here’s everything that dropped in Week One.
A new event area bloomed on Adoption Island
The festival introduced a gorgeous new area on the map, complete with cherry blossoms falling from the sky, a scenic view of Mount Fuji, and a towering pagoda right in the middle. Players could explore this seasonal hub to access all things Cherry Blossom, including the new mini-game, pet shop, toy stand, and viewing area.
Sakura Swoop took players to new heights
The main event in Week One was Sakura Swoop, a high-flying mini-game where players used gliders to soar through rings of cherry blossoms. The more rings you passed without landing, the higher your combo climbed. Lanterns and boost zones helped keep you in the air longer, and hitting high streaks meant more petals earned.
Those petals became the event’s main currency, and there was no shortage of cute stuff to spend them on.
New pet wear, toys, and gliders dropped
In true Adopt Me fashion, the devs rolled out five new toys—including three themed gliders so you could keep that Sakura Swoop vibe going outside the mini-game. They also added four new pieces of pet wear, all designed to match the soft, pink, festival aesthetic.
And yes, there were new pets too.
Three new pets joined the game
Players were introduced to two new earnable pets and one premium legendary:
- Bakeneko (Common): A supernatural moonlit cat that feels like something straight out of a myth.
- Kage Crow (Ultra-Rare): A shadowy bird with dark wings and serious style.
- Sakura Spirit (Legendary): A wise, dragon-like guardian you could adopt for 1,000 Robux.
Each pet had its own lore and personality, but the Sakura Spirit definitely stood out with its stunning animations and magical design.
A game-changing AFK blossom farming area
For those who couldn’t spend hours grinding the mini-game, Adopt Me added a cherry blossom viewing area where you could leave your avatar to passively collect petals. Best part? You didn’t get kicked for being idle. It was perfect for mobile players or anyone juggling school or work during the event.
Even though Week One has already begun, there’s still time to collect petals and explore everything the Cherry Blossom Festival has to offer. Stay tuned—Week Two will bring even more surprises, and I’ll be covering that next.
Want to make the most of the event? Keep aging pets, stock up on petals, and don’t forget to grab anything you love before the festival ends!
