You ever do something so dumb in Adopt Me that you have to log off and walk around your house to recover? Yeah… that was me last week. I still can’t believe this happened.
So I was hanging out in a public server, just casually aging pets and chatting with people. You know, the usual. I had a few trades going on for commons and some ultra-rares I didn’t really care about, nothing major. Then this girl comes up and asks if I’m trading a ride potion, and I’m like sure, what do you got? We go back and forth, and she ends up offering a pet I already have like five of, but I was being nice and said okay.
Here’s where I messed up.
I had a ride potion in my backpack, but right above it—yep, you guessed it—was my dream pet. My Neon Arctic Reindeer. My sweet, adorable, perfect little fluffball I’d worked so hard for. I must’ve misclicked or dragged the wrong thing. I don’t even know. But somehow, instead of giving her the ride potion, I gave her my NEON ARCTIC REINDEER.
And I didn’t even realize until hours later.
I was switching pets to do some aging and suddenly panicked. I checked every folder, searched every variation of the name. It was gone. That slow, sinking feeling hit me in the stomach like a ton of bricks. You know that feeling. The one where you realise you did something incredibly stupid and there’s no rewind button.
At first, I thought maybe I’d traded it earlier for something good and just forgot. Nope. Checked the trade history. There it was. A ride potion for a useless pet… and my neon reindeer.
I wanted to throw my laptop.
I tried messaging the girl, of course. I begged her to trade it back. I even offered her a FR Frost Fury and some adds. But she didn’t respond. She didn’t even read the messages. I don’t know if she’s ignoring me or just logged off forever with my poor reindeer.
The worst part? I had just put a new name tag and bow on her. She was looking so cute.
Lesson learned:
- Always double-check before confirming trades.
- Never trade in a rush.
- Maybe don’t keep your ride potions next to your favorite pets.
I’ve been in Adopt Me long enough to know pets come and go. But this one… this one hurt. I’m slowly working on a new one, but it’s gonna take time.
So if you ever see a Neon Arctic Reindeer with a pink bow named “Cookie,” tell her I miss her.
