Exciting news, everyone! This Friday, Adopt Me! is rolling out an update that’s set to completely change how we care for our pets – and trust me, it’s super fun! I actually got to try this out in the Adopt Me Test Lab last week, and I’m beyond excited for everyone to experience these changes firsthand.
As a quick reminder, this is the last week to grab any Halloween items from the wagon before they’re removed from the shop. However, Día de los Muertos pets will stay on sale for another week, so you still have time to add those to your collection. Now, let’s get into the details of the new pet-raising system!
New Pet Needs
The update is bringing in a variety of fresh pet needs that make raising pets more interactive than ever. For the first time, your pets will have specific wants, like going for a walk, riding in your car or boat (and bonus points for specific vehicles), playing fetch, and even needing to use the toilet! You’ll notice new fire hydrants placed around Adoption Island to help with those bathroom breaks.
Pets Will Lead the Way
One of the coolest new features is how pets will now actively lead you to places they want to go. If your pet is feeling playful, it might run off toward the playground, or if it’s under the weather, it’ll head straight for the hospital. This brings a whole new level of life to our pets—they’re no longer just following us around but are actively pulling us toward what they want.
Simplified Needs Management
With this update, keeping track of multiple pets and their needs has become much easier. Instead of seeing icons cluttered at the top of the screen, now, each pet will have its needs icons right above them. Clicking on a pet will give you an up-close view, allowing you to see all their needs and options more clearly. For those who prefer the old setup, this can still be adjusted in settings.
Mystery Needs and Task Bonuses
Adopt Me! is also adding mystery needs, allowing you to choose from different needs that pop up throughout the day. This gives players a little more control over the daily care routine. Plus, certain needs will come with bonus rewards if you use the right items, making pet-raising even more engaging.
